Tool's aren't the problem, I think most system level developers in industry are busy doing 'real things' to solve 'real problems' to care much about bringing about the Web-of-Things. They would rather build a sate-light communication link then get paid 50% more to program a toaster. Arduinos are much easier to use then JS.
